GeoDuplex Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how GeoDuplex™ Technologies (“we”, “our”, “us”) collects, uses, stores, and protects user data in the GeoDuplex mobile application (“the app”).

By using the app, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

2. Target Audience

The app is intended for a general audience aged 13 and above and does not target children or minors.

If a parent or guardian installs the app on a child’s device, a parental lock feature is available. When enabled, all features except the map view are restricted behind authentication.

3. Data We Collect

3.1 Location Data

• Foreground location data (latitude, longitude)
• Movement-related data such as speed and timestamps

Location tracking is disabled when the user is not logged in and can be manually turned off by the user.

3.2 Account and Authentication Data

• Email address
• Firebase user ID (UID)

3.3 App Usage and Device Data

• App interaction data
• Crash and diagnostic information
• Device and OS information

4. Data Storage and Security

Data is stored using Google Firebase services and transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections. Authentication and access rules are enforced using Firebase security rules. We do not sell or rent user data to third parties.

6. Children’s Privacy

The app is not designed for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

7. User Controls and Choices

• Enable or disable location tracking
• Log out, which disables tracking automatically
• Request deletion of account and associated data
• Use the app without logging in (limited functionality)

8. Data Retention

User data is retained only as long as necessary to provide app functionality or until deletion is requested.

This policy may be updated periodically. Changes will be reflected on this page with a revised date.
